Notes
Plainsman grog is made by grinding brick. Plainsman obtains reject brick supplies from a local structural brick manufacturer. The source buff brick material is made from fine stoneware type clays which are dry pan ground to 10 mesh and fired to high temperatures in the cone 8-10 range. The fired brick is then ground using a hammermill and sized to pass a vibratory 42 mesh screen. The grog has some iron specks which are a product of the natural iron stone concretions inherent in the parent material.
