Al2O3 is 70% minimum.
A special, high purity, alpha alumina monohydrate. It behaves like clay but desperses in an acid environment. Because of its high purity it leaves no deleterious fluxes in the grain boundaries after firing. It is an excellent plasticiser for conventional ceramic and refractory mixes. Its use will increase bulk density and improve high temperature thermal stability of the product.
