Targetted at waterbased paints and coatings, Mineral Colloid® BP is a high purity montmorillonite refined from carefully selected natural bentonite.

• Mineral Colloid BP exhibits excellent thixotropic properties , enhancing suspension, stability and viscosity control

• The use of Mineral Colloid BP increases sag resistance and reduces syneresis and settling.

• Mineral Colloid BP is totally inorganic and therefore not susceptible to enzyme attack.

• Mineral Colloid BP is not affected by high shear nor high temperatures during manufacturing. Mineral Colloid®BP can be sheared repeatedly.

• The type of rheology Mineral Colloid®BP exhibits lends itself to excellent spray atomization.

• Low levels of Mineral Colloid BP are needed in a paint system because of its high gel strength.
