Notes

A low cost ceramic sericite material useful to reduce firing temperature, control shrinkage, reduce absorption. Fires to a pink color. The material is prepared by crude mining and crushed by Piedmont Minerals.

Different grades vary primarily by iron content, the analysis shown here is representative.
Grade G is 3.5% iron and fires pink, YT is 4.0% iron and fires pink, YTC is 6.0% iron and fires orange-pink. All are available in -7 or -200 mesh sizes.
