AMMONIUM

Miscellaneous

Notes

(Richard Willis)

Any salt containing NH4. A popular “ageing” agent for clay mixes; and, depending on what chemicals are present, either a “deflocculant” or “flocculant” agent for glaze slurries. Woolly precipitants (i.e., coagulations) form when ammonia is mixed with aluminum salts.
