What is 4Sight Server?
It is a ceramic lab and library database system that runs on a web server on a computer in your office or on the internet. You interact with it using only your web browser and it presents itself as an information resource or a record keeping system
depending on your login.
4SIGHT is a combination of four technologies: The Apache web server, the MySQL database server, the PHP programming language and the software written by Digitalfire that ties them all together.
It normally runs on the Linux operating system but due to the magic of open source software it can also run on Macintosh OSX and Windows.
CeramicMaterials.Info is an installation of 4SIGHT Server. 4SIGHT can also be installed on a server in your lab, in the data center of your company or even on your workstation running in the background.
CeramicMaterials.Info acts as a library that is gathering all sorts of ceramic materials, property, oxide, test, picture, hazard, technical, mineralogical and other information.
